Pamela Jo Bauman Obituary Pam Bauman passed away on July 11, 2018 in Spokane. Pam was born January 7, 1945 in Kirksville, MO to Gene and Roseva (Lewis) Shreckhise. Pam grew up in Elgin, IL, graduated from Elgin High School with honors, was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and earned her Bachelors degree from Eastern Washington University, graduating Magna cum Laude. She was a long-time employee of Kaiser Trentwood, retiring in 2004. Pam had a great love for animals, family and friends. She was a magnet for strays starting when she was five years old, bringing them home and lovingly caring for them. Her favorite memories from childhood were from her grandparents farm in Missouri. She wanted a horse from the time she was 5 years old. It took her 30 years, but she finally got a horse. For 31 years, Pam lived her dream on an 11-acre hobby farm in Chattaroy. It was home to dogs, cats, horses and chickens. Feeding the animals was a favorite past time of her grandchildren during their summertime visits. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother and sister who always took time for family. She devoted time to her grandchildren, always making time to play games, to teach them to knit or and sew, and to share her love of animals. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Richard Bauman (1996) and her father, Gene Shreckhise (1977). Pam is survived by her mother, Roseva (Lewis, Shreckhise) Cottingham; son, Paul V. Carlin IV; daughter, Kimberly (Warren) Davis; step-sons, Scott (Mary) Bauman and Brett Bauman; eight grandchildren: Richard Davis, Elaine Davis, Austin Bauman, Haley Bauman, Matthew Bauman, Katelyn (Bauman) Greene, Evan Bauman, Breana Bauman; sister, Nancy Fisher (Marty); brother, Robert Shrechkise, (Paula); one niece and five nephews.
