Patricia Ann Cooper Obituary (Age 85) Patricia Ann Cooper has moved forward to a new chapter in her story. She encouraged her extended family, including four children, Gayle Wingate Ekins (and husband Mike), Bryan Wingate (and wife Mary), Mark Wingate (and wife Jeanette), and Samantha Russell, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, to celebrate life and live it for all it is worth. She could think of no better way we could honor her because that is surely what she did. Pat was an avid traveler and went all the way to Australia, Morocco, Spain, London, and more. She loved to see new things, learn about new cultures, and taste new cuisines (some more than others). Pat was the first woman to sell life insurance in the state of Washington, quite a feat for a small-town girl from Purcell, Oklahoma. She spoke to each of her children nearly every day and most of the grandkids as well. Two things she would want to be remembered for would be reminding us to love each other and to never forget to find some humor and spread it around; there just are not enough laughs in this crazy, busy world. Pat Cooper, a Nan, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, and a fierce bridge player, has all of her ducks in a row, and they are swimming in a beautiful pond. She wishes to sit and chat with family and friends who went before her but looks forward to giving those she loves most a tour when it is their time. But until then, LIVE joyfully. According to her wishes, Pats family came together to celebrate her life in Amarillo, Texas, on June 24, 2017. Those wishing to commemorate Pats life may make a contribution to the Union Gospel Mission of the Inland Northwest. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Patricia, please visit our Tree Store.
