Patricia Ann Ewing Obituary (Age 75) Passed away on February 5, 2010 in Spokane Washington. She was born July 11, 1934 in Thomas, Oklahoma, to Ralph and Katherine Cole. At the age of five, the family moved to Spokane. Patricia graduated from Rogers High School and on April 24, 1953 married her long time neighbor and sweetheart Jerry Ewing. As a devoted mother, Patricia was involved in PTA, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Patricia loved to bring joy to those she loved. She brought celebration to all birthdays and holidays. Patricia was active in the Episcopal Church, as a member of Church of the Holy Spirit and was involved in the Bishops Guild and Episcopal Church Women's associations. Patricia was a conversationalist, expert seamstress, event planner, cook, gardener, consummate shopper and enjoyed reading and her crafts. Patricia was preceded in death by her father Ralph, mother Katherine, brother Kenneth, sister Sue, and loving husband Jerry. She is survived by her son Bruce Ewing, daughter Ellen (Frank) Johnson, son Scott (Teresa) Ewing and beloved grandchildren Jason and Ashley, sister Kathy (Ted) Vollmer, niece Susan (Mike) Combs, niece Jill (Mark) Bernazzani, sister-in-law Orabelle Stolz, nieces and nephews Jim and Patty Ewing, Valerie Okert, Pat Fergus, Rich and Mary Miller, Victor and Brenda Smythe, Carl and Jan Stolz and Gary and Karen Stolz, numerous other nieces and nephews, neighbor Mary and beloved pet dogs Joy and Muffy. Patricia and the family express their gratitude to Drs. Lamoreaux and Njuguna of CancerCare Northwest for their attentive and compassionate care; radiology technicians Evan and Danielle for their loving encouragement during treatment; and appreciative thanks to Dr. Bunn and the many compassionate caring nurses, staff and doctors at Deaconess Medical Center and Avalon Care Center. A memorial service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowe
