Patricia "Pat" Allen Obituary (Age 89) Pat died peacefully at Fairwood Retirement Village in Spokane, Washington. She was a loving wife, and a wonderful mom, grandma and great grandma. She will be greatly missed. The family is grateful for the tremendous care and wonderful support of the Fairwood memory center staff and Horizon Hospice. Pat was born in Alameda, CA. Her parents were Earl and Lottie Daley of Paradise, CA. Pat attended Alameda High School and the University of California at Berkley. She joined the Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteers Emergency Service) and held the position of Avian Machinist Mate 2nd Class. She met her future husband, Elt Allen, on a blind date. They were married in Jackson, CA, and immediately left for Spokane. In Spokane, they enjoyed many happy years. They spent many happy times with family and friends at their cabins on Sacheen Lake and Coeur d' Alene Lake. Elt passed away in 1998. While raising four children, Pat was active in PTA, Crisis Clinic, Lady Lions and PEO. She is survived by three sons, Mike (Kris), Kent (Chris), Dale (Annette), and a daughter, Cindy Woodworth (John); her seven cherished grandchildren and three, almost four, great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made, in her honor, to the Alzheimer's Association. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 23, at 10 am at Heritage Chapel.
