Patti Obituary Patricia (Patti) passed away peacefully at her Spokane home the evening of July 14, 2022 with family members at her side. She was born on August 13, 1947 to John & Grace Barnes in Spokane WA. She was the youngest of 4 children. She graduated from Mead High School in 1965 and Kinman Business University after that. She was the matriarch of the family, and took great pride in putting together gatherings of family and friends, planning and hosting many holiday functions and other fun times together. Known as Grammy to many, she loved her grandchildren, spoiling them often. She loved to cook for sure. She was especially fond of having any type of flowers growing in her yard, especially roses and enjoyed oil and watercolor painting over the years. Sewing was a great hobby she enjoyed. She loved to travel, having visited many places in the USA and also abroad. She was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, having held numerous chapter and regional officer positions over the years. She was also a member of Red Hats and was an active member of the St Luke Lutheran Church Quilters Group in Spokane. She lived in many different places in the USA over the years, such as Spokane, WA- Bozeman, MT -Amarillo, TX - Hoffman Estates, IL- and Highlands Ranch, CO. Patti was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don and Lester Barnes and stepson Brian Tregellas. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Steve, daughter Holly Fernalld, son Brandon (Serina), grandchildren Alison and Austin, daughter-in-law Rachel, grandson Weston, sister Joyce Roadarmel of Denver, CO and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Many thanks go out to all of her care providers and to the comfort team at Hospice of Spokane. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at St Luke Lutheran Church, 9704 N. Division St, Spokane, WA 99218.
