Pat passed away March 5, 2011 in Deer Lake, WA. He was born May 19, 1945 in Spokane. He served in the Coast Guard Reserves from 1964-1969. Over the years he has resided in Spokane, Coeur d? Alene, Salt Lake City and Deer Lake. He worked as a long haul truck driver until he retired in 2009. Pat enjoyed hydroplane racing, snowmobiling, motorcycles, lake fishing, exploring abandoned mines, gold panning and remote control airplanes. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Martin, mother Lucille Martin, and his brother David Martin all of Spokane. He is survived by his brother John Martin (Linda), sister Joni Dunlap (Dave), son Kevin Martin (Maria), daughters Kim Brown (Jeff) and Anjie Hughes (Bert), and grandchildren Cole, Analisa, Garrett, Kylee, Kayla, Jessi and Clarissa. Pat enjoyed the outdoors, and anything to do with the water. He most recently spent this past winter exploring the Arizona desert and was preparing for the upcoming season of hydroplane racing. A Celebration of Pat?s Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 19th at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Pat?s favorite non profit cause, S.L.O.R.A., 7035 W.
