Paul Alan Petty Obituary Was born September 19, 1934 in Nampa Idaho. He passed away peacefully in his Coeur d'Alene, ID home on September 25, 2010 after a short illness. After high school, Paul married Dottie Nixon and they had three children. He taught History and Physical Education at Wapato High School. He went on to become the Athletic Director for Wapato School District. He belonged to Football Officiating Associations in Yakima, Spokane and Seattle for approximately 25 years. After retiring from teaching, Paul married Bonnie McCulley Legg in 1976 in Spokane, where they made their home for 18 years. He began a second career as a Sales Rep for Proctor & Gamble until retiring again in 1995. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, two brothers, Lyle and Jim Petty, sisters-in-law Barbara and Darlene, all of Meridian ID; his children, Dianne Hill(Tom), Carole Smith (Brett), Kris Petty, all of Spokane, stepchildren Dan Legg, Coeur d'Alene, Jeff Legg, Yakima and Kim Jacobs, Tonasket. He has four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held 1pm on Saturday, October 9th at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
