Phyllis Joy (McBride) Latimer Obituary (Age 91) Long time Liberty Lake resident, Phyllis Joy (McBride) Latimer passed away January 18, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born in Spokane, Washington on September 12, 1925 to William and Rose McBride. She attended North Central High School and served her country in the Marine Corp during 1945-1946. Following the war, she was a nightclub singer and attended business college. November 24, 1950 she married George Allen Latimer Jr., her husband of 64 years. George Latimer died in 2014. Phyllis and George are survived by three children: Rex Latimer of Liberty Lake, Washington; Leslie Latimer Deakins of Federal Way, Washington; and Velvet Latimer Chamberlain of Ephrata, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Bob, Jack, and Frank McBride and one sister June Wacker. She has two living sisters, Carole Ralph and Marilyn Ellern who both live on the north side of Spokane. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 10 am 5 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Sunset Chapel followed by a Graveside service inside Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA.
