Ramey E. Cannon Obituary (Age 83) Ramey was born in Water Valley, MS on December 3, 1929. He passed away August 29, 2013 in Spokane. He graduated from University High School in Mississippi in 1948. After working with the U.S. Forest Service in Coeur d'Alene for two years, he joined the Air Force in 1950. He married Genevieve Woodring in 1955. He was in Pararescue and then Survival until he retired in 1980 as a CMSgt. Ramey then worked at the Survival School at Fairchild as a civilian until 1992. He had many hobbies and interests to include gardening bookkeeping, and fishing. He loved playing poker and called the Northern Quest his home away from home. Ramey is survived by his special friend Jimmie Sue Lemos; son Stephen (JoAnne); daughter Kaye (Dan); sister Corrine Rose; six grandchildren Justin, Brandon, Katy, Whitney, Jamie and Riley and one great-granddaughter Olivia. He is preceded in death by his wife Genevieve. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 3 at noon at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
