Raymond Kermit Johnson Obituary Raymond Kermit Johnson, age 67, died June 21, 2021 at his Spokane-area home surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born November 9, 1953 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Kermit and Marguerite Johnson. His parents relocated to Spokane when Ray was two years old, where he attended Assumption School, Shadle Park High School and Eastern Washington University. In 1978, he married his wife, of 43 years, and relocated to Southern California where he had careers at Inglewood Park Cemetery and Lockheed Corporation. In 1991, Ray accepted a position at The Boeing Company in Seattle. He earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from Seattle Pacific University and was a business project manager on the US and European AWACS and 777 programs until his retirement in 2013. Ray was deeply devoted to his faith and his family first and foremost. He loved to travel, sightsee and hike all while photographing his adventures and was proud to profess visiting 34 national parks and 23 countries. He loved being outdoors and time spent landscaping his home. Ray had a good sense of humor and was an optimist. He was an avid movie buff and enjoyed collecting his favorites. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray is survived by his loving wife, June, and their sons Michael and Stephen as well as his five sisters, their spouses, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Rosary Vigil will be held July 12 at 7:00 pm and a Funeral Mass July 13 at 11:00 am, both at St. Joseph Parish in Otis Orchards, Washington.
