Raymond O. Sprague Obituary (Age 83) Raymond O. Sprague was born September 2, 1926 in Kansas City, MO, and died peacefully on July 17, 2010 in Spokane WA. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond O. Sprague Sr., mother Berniece A. Pauls, and step-father Fred A. Pauls. He went into the Navy in 1944 where he served on the USS Belleau Wood and was medically discharged in 1946. He married Gay Soderlund in 1946, to this marriage was born 3 children, Gregory, Jeffery and Deborah. He attended Kinman Business University where he received his BCS Degree and spent the rest of his working years as an accountant for the Grain Growers. Ray married his lovely wife Dorothy M. Sprague on January 7, 1972. They spent many happy years together enjoying dancing, bowling and gardening. Some of his other interests were boxing, baseball, golfing and fishing with his boys, and of course telling jokes. Ray is survived by his wife Dorothy of 38 1/2 years, brother William Sprague, two half sisters, Gloria Gossett and Barbara Moore all of Liberty, MO, his three children, step children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 24 at Heritage Chapel.
