Raymond Ward Hunter Obituary (Age 86) Passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born to Gertrude and Ward Hunter in Coeur dAlene, ID on June 15, 1930, the fourth of seven children. Ray graduated from Page High School (North Dakota) in 1948. Raised in Minot, ND until enlisting in the Army where he served as forward observer for the artillery during the Korean War. He then built his life in Spokane. His entire career was with Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad. Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his friends and family. He especially had a love for mans best friend-his Labradors. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jack Hunter and wife Violet, Norman Hunter and wife Marge; sisters Lavonne Jorgensen and husband Ivan, Catherine Pierson and husband Carl and step-grandson Jim West. He is survived by his step-granddaughter Lisa West; brother Jerry Hunter of Sumas, WA; sister and brother-in-law Janice and Ron Cook of St John, WA; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
