Renee J. Shepard Obituary (Age 61) Renee was born to Eugene and Mary Shepard in St Ignatius, MT on May 29, 1955. Renee lost her battle to cancer early on December 7, 2016, with her family by her side. She began her life in St. Ignatius, MT then grew up in Harrison, ID. She graduated, with honors, from Kootenai High in 1973. She attended college Seattle and then moved to Spokane, to begin her 40 plus year career as a jeweler. She loved to camp, fish and was an avid garage-saler. Her greatest passion was helping struggling new-comers to recover from alcoholism. 39 years in AA gave her a life she never could have imagined. Live, laugh, love was her creed. She believed that giving of yourself, freely, and expecting nothing in return, yielded rewards beyond measure. On February 5, 2014 she was able to marry her partner of 20 years, Debbie Eldredge. They were blessed to participate and benefit from the AA way of life throughout those years. Renee was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 39 years.Renee was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Mickey Shepard, her brother Steve and her sister Dianne Carpenter. She is survived by her wife Debbie, brothers: John Shepard and his wife Joann of Sterling, AK, Kenney Shepard of St. Maries, and Eddy Jewett of Post Falls; sisters: Denniece Lockett of St. Ignatius, MT and Debbie and Clint Croson living as well in St. Maries, ID. There are nieces and nephews, along with their children who join the list of family who will be mourning her loss. She now soars with the angels, resides brightly in our hearts, and is being missed beyond belief. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Heritage.
