Reta JoAnn "Joey" (Turosky) Baker Obituary (Age 72) Reta entered into rest on December 13, 2010 after six years of living with brain cancer. Reta was born in Chewelah, WA to Joe & Leona Turosky. She attended Ford Elementary school and graduated from Mary Walker High School in Springdale, WA. In 1956, Reta moved to Spokane and attended IBM training to be a key-punch operator. She married in 1957 and had four children. Her work career included U.R.M, Round-Up Corp., and the City of Spokane. Reta later married Norm Baker in 1983 where she and Norm owned and operated Renor Construction Services until 2004. Reta is survived by her husband Norm; son Michael Rickertsen of Tum Tum; daughter Cheryl Rickertsen of Walla Walla, WA; sisters Verla Huffman, Audrey Bunn, & Laurel (Dick) Beyer, all of Spokane; her beloved grandsons Jesse, Trevor, & Bradley Duprey of Walla Walla, WA. Her daughter Kim and her son Rick preceded her in death. The family wishes sincere gratitude to Reta's caregiver for 18 months, Tonya Bays and Hospice of Spokane staff. Memorial Service 2:00PM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Heritage Chapel.
