Rex G. Hainline Obituary Rex G. Hainline passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011. He was born 87 years earlier in Filer, ID to Jess and Irene Hainline on May 23, 1924. Rex was a member of the Filer Idaho High School Class of 1944, but enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 before graduating. He was stationed in the Southern Solomon's and Northern Philippines during the two years of his service, and returned with several medals. After discharge from the Army he worked on the construction of Grand Coulee Dam. Rex was a gifted salesman and worked in retail for 31 years before retiring from the Bon Marche in 1987. Rex was married to Margaret A. Thoren March 18, 1950 at Leahy Junction. The couple was married for 61 years before his departure. In the later years of their lives Rex and Margaret became snowbirds, spending the summer months at their home in Sprague, WA, and the winter months at their second home in Quartzite, AZ. Rex is preceded in death by his four siblings; he is survived by his loving wife, four children, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for Rex Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Heritage Funeral Home at 11:00am. Heritage is located at 508 N. Government Way Spokane, WA 99224.
