Richard A Frederick, age 73 of Spokane Valley, WA, passed away August 15, 2025. He was born to Albert and Alberta Frederick on March 28, 1952, in Odessa, WA. Richard and Carolyn were married for 40 years.


Richard went to Rockford Highschool and graduated in 1970. He worked at Rockford Grain Growers for 16 years, then left and worked for Meadowwood and Liberty Lake golf courses for 19 years as a Mechanic, until his Parkinson’s progressed and could no longer work.


Richard and Carolyn attended Valley real Life Church for 16 years.


Surviving him, beside his wife, Carolyn, are his three children: Richard Jr., Jarrod (Amy) and Bradley Frederick (from his previous wife) all from Spokane. He was blessed with 6 grandchildren; Richie III, Zachary, Joshua, Bryce, Colton Frederick and Samantha (Robby) Gee; and 4 great grandchildren, Bella Frederick, Mae, Olivia and Hunter Gee. Also, his 2 stepchildren: Don (Kelly) Williams and Tamara (Mike) Bolton. He was also blessed with three step granddaughters: Brenda Wolff, Ashley (Robert) Darmody and Jessica (Jerry) Fox; and five step great grandchildren: Kian, Ethan, Collin, Liam, Kenzie Fox, Braxton and Zoey Darmody and one great-great granddaughter: Hazel Fox. He is also Survived by his brother John Frederick and one sister-in-law: Darlene (Rey) Osuna and brother-in-law: Darryl Weilage.


Preceding him in death, besides his parents, was his sister Diane Ulrick.


Services for Richard will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, starting with a viewing and visitation at 10:30AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:30AM. A reception at 12:30PM and a concluding graveside service at 2:30PM in the Pines Cemetery, 1402 S Pines Rd. Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
