Richard B. Ward Obituary Mr. Richard B. Ward, born May 17, 1928 in Leesburg, Virginia, to Charles E Ward and Bessie Dean Gore, passed away at his home in Suncrest Community, December 27, 2011. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and was stationed at Fairchild AFB when he met Ardis M. Zuelke and they were married February 3, 1951. After alternately living between Virginia and Washington, he and his wife Ardis moved to Spokane in 1971. Richard worked for Comet Industries as a welder until they closed the plant. In 1983 he and his family moved to Suncrest Community and still live there. When he retired he worked as a purchasing agent for Spokane Club. He also was a Southern Baptist Pastor. Richard is survived by his wife Ardis Marie Zuelke Ward; two daughters, Pamela Annette Ward Kimbrell of Suncrest and Cheryl Ann Ward Wofford of Willits, CA; one son-in-law Thomas Allen Kimbrell of Suncrest; one foster daughter Priscilla Ann Moore Brown of Palm Coast, FL; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Malissa Marie Ward, two great-grandsons Isaac and Mac; three brothers and seven sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Home with burial to follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
