Richard "Dick" W. Elwell Obituary (Age 78) Dick was called home by our loving God May 12, 2010 in Spokane. He was born in Seattle on July 15, 1931. Dick came to Spokane at the age of 3, attended Franklin Grade School, Lewis and Clark High School and Gonzaga University. He was inducted into the Navy during the Korean War and was a radio operator aboard the USS Destroyer "Hamner". Dick became interested in repairing cuckoo clocks during the last of his working years and into his retirement, a hobby he loved. With his first wife Ann, he had five children, Jeffery Winston Elwell, Scott Winston Elwell, Danny Winston Elwell, Karen Rene LaMadrid and Suzzane Marie Peek. Dick has been married to his current wife Dolores for 12 years and she took excellent care of him during his illness. A Funeral Service will be 2:30 PM, Monday, May 17 at Lincoln Heights Congregational Church. Visitation will be Noon to 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 15, at Heritage Funeral Home.
