Richard Jay Tinsley Obituary (Age 93) Richard Tinsley to some, Dick to others, and dad and grandpa to many, left us early on the morning of September 24, 2017 after a brief illness at the age of 93 years and 4 months. He attended Lewis and Clark High School, graduating in 1942, then attended WSU for a time before enlisting in the Navy June 20, 1943 through March 24, 1946, serving at Farragut, Idaho and Maui, Hawaii, as an airplane mechanic. Richard and Donna (Ochsner) Tinsley, were married July 1993 at Loon Lake on the beach surrounded by family and friends, and recently celebrated 24 years of marriage. He and Donna traveled overseas, went on cruises, and spent time at Loon Lake together. He worked at the Washington Water Power for 32 years as a gas repair dispatcher until retirement in 1998. Enjoying his retirement volunteering at Sacred Heart Medical Center, traveling to gun shows and always knowing which places to stop at for early morning breakfasts along the way. He spent lots of time at his Loon Lake Cabin that he loved, fishing with his kids and cleaning more fish than seemed possible at times, roller skating at Pattisons for many years on Saturdays. He went to Washington DC to view the many memorials with Honor Flight. He enjoyed celebrating holidays and special occasions with family and friends, spending his days with his four legged friends Mickey, Charlie, Sophie and Kelley their beloved golden retrievers. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who we knew we could always count on no matter what the circumstances. He was a man of honor and integrity. Dad never met a stranger. He was always thinking of his family first. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Pearl (Stockwell) Tinsley, his wives Jacqueline (Montgomery) Kobs, and Iris (Bebb) Schultz.
