On January 8th the world lost one of the most amazing and kindhearted men. Richard or Dick as most knew him, was born in Springeld, Massachusetts on December 7, 1930. Everyone who came in contact with Dick had a better day because of it. His smile was remarkable and always a topic of conversation. He grew up in Gloucester, Mass. Joining the Air Force in 1951, he eventually ended up stationed at Fairchild Air Force base where he met the love of his life, wife Laurel whom he married the next year in 1952. They had a wonderful 64 years of marriage, rarely ever being apart. They had three children. Two daughters, Pam and Lorinne and son Dan. While raising their family, Dick and Laurel started a family business in Spokane they ran for nearly 50 years. He loved a good sunset, was fascinated by meteorology and was an enthusiastic treasure hunter and coin collector. He also enjoyed watching baseball and basketball, as they were active pastimes in his younger years. Later, he enjoyed playing golf, traveling and listening to music. You could, always nd him gardening and spending time with his family. Dick was a real family man, always there, and would do anything for you. He and Laurel were known for always having the family over for the holidays and hosting birthday dinners and pool parties. Dick is Survived by his son Dan and daughters Pam and Lorinne, (Ray), Grandchildren, John (Anieca), Jamie (Rob ), Rick (Breanna), Brian, Randy (Christina): Great-grandchildren, Reid (Lacey), Mikinzie (Adam), Ashele, Kaycee, Jae and Grayson. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Laurel and brother Clarence Buddy Beyer. His passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was a true example of a loving, caring, honest, helpful and seless man. He will be missed tremendously. The Family would like to thank all the care givers at Moran Vista for their amazing work and compassion. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral home on Saturday, January 20th at 10 AM, Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Organization
