Ricky Alan Port Obituary Ricky was born in Austin, TX at Berstron AFB on August 13, 1958. He passed away in Spokane on March 6, 2016. Rick grew up as a military child, living in many Air Force Bases, from Texas in 1958, Grand Forks in 1961 to Fairchild in 1966 and Crookston, MN as a teenager. Rick entered into the Air Force in 1978, serving his term at Fairchild until 1982. Rick was a league bowler and met the love of his life at Bagdad Bowl in Airway Heights, WA. He and Joanne Medeiros were married in Tyler, WA on May 18, 1985. Rick and Joanne settled in Las Vegas, NV in 1996 before moving to Bullhead, AZ in 2007. Rick managed many big casinos all around the Nevada and Arizona area. He loved the bright lights and energy of casinos. He also enjoyed the rush of snowmobiling in Minnesota, fishing at Tacoma Creek and hunting in Hunters. Rick is survived by his mother Joyce Harding (Gary), his wife of 30 years Joanne, two step children Cori and Joey Medeiros, 5 1/2 grandchildren, brother Randy (Pam), brother Mike (Lori), sister Kim (Sam), half-brother Alan (Ruth) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Alan Port. Special thank you to the Veterans Administration Hospital ICU unit for the care of Rick as he fought his battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224 on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:00AM.
