RK Thomas Obituary RK passed away surrounded by family on Saturday Aug. 11. RK was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and great-great-grandpa. He served in the military for 7 years. He was an active duty fighter in WWII. After serving in the Military he met the love of his life Frances. The two are now together again arm and arm. They had 5 children, several grandkids, great-grandkids and even great-great-grandkids. During his life RK was a local painter for Union #427, which he retired from. He was also a volunteer at the VFW. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved to spend his extra time fishing and camping with family. His favorite snack was a tomato sandwich. RK joins his wife, Frances and daughter, Brenda Slinkard as well as several other family members and friends. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Eddie Robinson; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Lennie Mayo; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Judy Marie Thomas; and son, Rocky Thomas and dog Spirit. RK will be missed but we know he is not in pain anymore. He is smiling down on us with his fishing pole in hand saying this is life. Service will be held at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery on August 16, 2018 @ 12:30 pm. lunch to follow, 2pm at VFW 1435 in Spokane Valley.
