October 07, 1935 - June 07, 2015

Robert "Bob" Leonard Taigen, Sr. Obituary (Age 79) Robert Leonard Taigen Sr., fondly known as Bob, grew up in Spokane, WA, graduating from North Central High School in 1953. He married his high school sweet heart, Jackie Disney, in 1955. Together they had 5 children: Barbara Jean Richardson (Dave), Judy Sargent, Bob Jr. (Trish), Jim (Karen), and Dave (Tracy). He also had 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was a devoted family man. Bob worked for Investors Diversified Services for 15 years, becoming a Divisional Manager in Missoula, MT. Later, he and his family moved back to Spokane and he became the General Contractor for his own business, Taigen and Sons, Inc., building many homes, apartments, and rentals. After retiring, Bob and Jackie spent many winters living in Hawaii, and traveled to Norway, the Bahamas, Thailand, and Israel. After that, they spent their winters in Florida and Arizona, and the rest of the year at Priest Lake, ID. Bob lived life to the fullest! He was full of energy. He walked several miles a day, and enjoyed taking his many grandchildren water tubing and boating, going water skiing, working-out, and riding bikes. He loved spending time with his family and friends at their lake cabin and giving people rides in his Ranger. He was a Christian man, and a wonderful example. He always did his best to help others and took great care of everyone around him. He is deeply missed by his family and friends, but he is happy to be with his Savior now. For those who would like to attend, we will be having a memorial service for Bob on Saturday, June 13th, at 2:00pm at Northview Bible Church, 13521 N. Mill Rd. Spokane, WA 99208. If you would like to make a donation in his honor, please do so for the Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E Trent Ave, Spokane, WA 99202 or Life Services, 2659 N Ash St, Spokane, WA 99205.
