Robert C. Choate, Jr. Obituary Robert C. Choate, Jr. Bob peacefully ascended into Heaven at his family home in Spokane on March 12, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons disease. He was born to Bob and Nona Choate on December 9, 1929 in Spokane. After a childhood of moving between Eastern Washington and Western Montana, he eventually took a job in construction until he was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. After returning to Spokane, he started at Washington Water Power in 1953. It was there he met and married Mary Jean Jean. He worked his way up the ranks of the Water Power, ultimately retiring in 1992 as Superintendent of Power Supply. After retirement, he enjoyed working around the family farm and golfing. He faithfully followed daughter, Roby, to horse shows around the region and was the ultimate horse show dad. He is survived by wife, Jean, and daughter Roby. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Colleen Kirwin; and baby brother. At his request, no services are being held.
