Robert Dean Strandy Obituary Robert (Bob) Dean Strandy passed away under the caring support of Horizon Hospice, his girlfriend Violet Garbarino and his twin daughters, Lora Lee Wilson and Lori Ann Robertson. Robert was born to James and Dottie Strandy in Buhl, ID. The family moved to Sandpoint, ID when he was just 10 years old. He loved Sandpoint, living there until he joined the US Army Infantry where he served during the Korean War. After returning to Sandpoint, he married Marion Banka and started a family. Robert really enjoyed fishing and gold mining. He was a carpenter, working on dams and in Alaska. Robert is survived by his two sisters, Elma Yocom and Edna Eggleston. He is loved by his six children, Robert Jr., Tony, LoraLee, LoriAnn, Curtis and Zerphery; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the Garbarino family for love giving to our father. A celebration of Roberts life will be held on Saturday, September 9th at Winona Beach Resort, 33022 Winona Beach Rd., Valley, WA 99181 (potluck) at 12:00pm.
