Robert Earl Molett

Robert Earl Molett Obituary (Age 74) Robert Earl Molett was born on September 24, 1943 to parents Charlie Molett and Cloran Syas-Molett in Yazoo City, MS and was raised by Aunt Will Syas to be a caring and loving son. He was taught to love the Lord with all his heart, mind, soul and strength. He attended Linwood High School, graduating at the age of sixteen in 1961. Upon graduating, Robert relocated to Spokane, WA where his father, step-mother (Lucille Molett), brother and sister lived. Robert worked a short time at the Spokane Club before enlisting in the US Army on March 2, 1965 and served his country faithfully and received an honorable discharge. He attended Eastern Washington College in Cheney, WA for two years. He landed employment with Westinghouse Electric and later with General Electric as a journeyman industrial electrician for 28 years and retired. He worked in Washington, Idaho and Oregon inspecting state dams and doing safety inspection shut-downs at paper mills. Robert was well-known in Spokane and had many friends who loved and respected him. Robert was an active sports enthusiast. He lived and breathed fishing, hunting, baseball and attending his childrens school and sporting events. He included his children in hunting and fishing trips. He studied the art of fishing and hunting by purchasing tapes, books and magazines. He made sure he had everything he needed to catch the hundreds of fish and hunt the many fields in WA and ID. His experience and knowledge has been passed on to his boys. Robert was known as one of the best power hitters in Spokane Softball League. He joined the team and participated in the national tournament. Because of his natural talent he was inducted into the baseball hall of fame in Spokane. Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father, Charlie and Cloran Molett; his grandparents, Andrew and Emma Syas; his special Aunt Will Syas; his in-laws, Earnest and Viola Huffman; sister-in-law, Dr. Earnestine Huffman-White; special niece, Dr. Stacey Johnson-Webb. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 43 years, Etta Voncille Molett of Spokane; and two sons, Brandon Rashad Molett of Nine Mile Falls, WA and Marques Corey Molett of Post Falls, ID. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 12 oclock noon at Bethel AME, 645 S.
