Robert Elmer Murphy Obituary (Age 76) Bob went to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on May 11, 2010 in Spokane, WA. He was born on October 23, 1933 in Butte, MT to Elmer J. and Isabelle Murphy. He attended multiple schools in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1953. Bob married Beatrice A. Gamble in 1954 and they were blessed with over 55 wonderful years together. Bob drove a truck for 25 years for The Crescent and worked eight years for Spokane Public Schools. After retiring he served as the President of the Lilac City Wind Chasers Kite Club and was currently serving as the Vice President. Bob was a member of the 300 Club Bowling League and was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church. Bob is survived by his loving wife Bea; children Shery and Tim Stevens and Dave and Heidi Murphy; grandchildren Jared and Anna Stevens, Robert Murphy, Lisa Murphy and husband Greg; great-grandchildren, Keiffer and Isabelle Yost; sister Jean Watrus and family Debbie and Ray, Pam, Karen and Kevin. He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Robert Murphy. Services for Bob will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church, 6528 N. Monroe, Spokane, WA with Pastor Marc Curnutt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
