Robert Eugene Rogers, Sr. Obituary (Age 70) Robert was born October 31, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to Ira and Madora Rogers. He peacefully passed at his home in Suncrest on July 16, 2010. He retired after 23 years in the Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. He did 10 years of night school at EWU to complete his Masters in Communication, and also worked for the state (DSHS) as a Clerk Typist working for judges. Robert married Alice June on June 4th, 1970 in Muncie, Indiana and the couple went on to have five children. They lived in Biloxi, West Germany then settled in Spokane in 1979; however, Robert traveled all over the world while in the Air Force, including Turkey, Spain, Russia and many other places. He liked a mean game of golf and enjoyed walking through any museum that was in front of him. He always had 20 questions to ask a stranger. He was the Administrative Assistant for the Survival School out at Fairchild Air Force Base, was a member of the Lakeside Catholic Church, and the Civil Air Patrol. After he retired, Robert did a brief stint at Subway, he just couldn't sit still at home. Robert is survived by his 10 siblings from Kansas City, MO; his wife June (celebrating 40 years together this past year); five children Rick, Charles, Karen, Julie and Robert Jr.; 13 grandkids Josh, Gabe, Madina, Charles Jr, Chrissy, Amber, Scotty, Tyler, Kayla, Kylie, Robbie, Autumn, and Haley; six great-grandkids Issac, Ethan, KC, Mehki, Braidon, and Evan. A Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, July 21 at Heritage Chapel. Military Honors will be provided by Fairchild Air Force Base and members of the Patriot Guard Riders.
