Robert Geary Bonner Obituary (Age 81) Bob was born on August 5, 1935 in Buffalo, NY to Ralph and Dorothy Bonner. He passed away April 15, 2016 at the Hospice House surrounded by loved ones. After graduating high school he joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged after serving for four years. He then went on to work for Pan Am, where he worked on a missile tracking ship (The General H.H. Arnold) during The Cold War. During this time he traveled the world extensively. It was at a brief stop in Portland, OR when he met Sherrell McNally, and they married soon after. He went to work for the National Weather Service and retired in 2010 after 42 years.Bob was a member of the Masons and also enjoyed his time in the Lions Club while living in Alaska. Bob enjoyed reading, history, computers, anything weather related, and visiting with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Sherrell of 47 years, who cared for him with amazing compassion and grace the last two and a half years; his daughter Lisa Bowman (Kevin), son Troy Bonner (Amy), and his grandchildren; Vanessa, Brendan, Alyssa, Mason, Robert, and Gabe. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, with a private committal at the Washington State Veteran�s Cemetery to follow. Please contact the family for details.
