Robert Lance Petersen Obituary Robert Lance Petersen �Bob,� age 80, a long time Federal Way resident, passed away on December 27, 2020 in Spokane WA. He had lived many years with Alzheimer�s Disease, complicated by diabetes and finally COVID. Bob was born in Renton WA on July 12, 1940 and grew up in West Seattle graduating from West Seattle High School in 1958. Following high school, Bob enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the USS Oriskany. After leaving the Navy Bob attended college and became a Computer Programmer Analyst working all over the country on large mainframe projects for state governments, banks and insurance companies. Bob lived a full and happy life. He was an exceptional man in many ways - he was generous, kind and helpful to others. He had a keen sense of humor, was artistic, creative and an avid do-it-yourselfer. He and his wife Sue loved to travel, especially road trips all over the country. Bob was hardworking and not a man to sit. He loved his home and yard where he spent countless hours. Bob married Mariann Anderson in 1961. He is survived by their children -son, Lance Petersen (Julie), grandson Nick, daughter Danielle Rios (Shon) and grandsons Dan, Garrett and Brandon. In 1986 Bob married Susan (Sue) E. Tegler and he became the much-loved step-dad and role-model to Sue�s daughter�s Heather (Paul) McIntosh and Erin (Scott) Etzkorn and �Baba� to their children Paige, Ryan, and Lauren. Bob loved his family dearly and especially his dedicated loving wife Sue who cared for him the last years of his life. Bob will be remembered and missed very much. His family thanks all those who provided care and support over the last months of his life.
