Robert Lee "Bob" Grooms Obituary (Age 70) Robert Lee Grooms, born March 22, 1943 in Sweet Home, OR to Merritt and Louise Grooms, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 23, 2013. Bob graduated from Pasco High School in 1961 and then went on to serve in the US Navy until 1965. Bob married Eileen Eakin in June 1963. They have four children; D?Laine (Jim) Fields, Ron Grooms, Ryan (Lori) Grooms, Anne (Todd) Kusler; nine grandchildren, sister Monene and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim. Bob hired out with the Northern Pacific in 1965 and worked for the railroad until his retirement from B.N.S.F. in 2003. He served as a Deacon with Valley Fourth Memorial Church. One of his favorite pastimes was golfing with the ?Rails? and friends. He also enjoyed playing card games with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed visiting with many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Valley Fourth Memorial Church, 2303 S Bowdish, Spokane Valley, WA at 3:00 PM with a reception to follow.
