Following the war, he returned to Spokane and began his long career with Adams Tractor. Although he stepped down from his position as company president in 1985, he continued to work at the store until earlier this year. Through the years, he made many great friends in this Spokanes agricultural community. He was a founding member of Plymouth and Heritage Congregational Churches, coached church league basketball and was particularly proud of his service to Employers Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jean Amy Adams; a daughter, Jennie (James), Topeka, KS; a son, Kenneth (Debbie); five grandchildren, Deke (Nicole) Adams, Spokane; Staci (Jon) Bickelhaupt, Pullman; and Carrie (Matthew) Camel, Fort Belvoir, VA; John (Amy) Rose, Spokane; and Katherine (Patrick) Malone, Nashville, TN; and eight great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Other survivors include brothers Carroll and Gordon Adams, Walla Walla; Howard Adams, Spokane; and a sister, Doris Woodward, San Mateo, CA, as well as many much-loved nieces and nephews.
