Robert Paul "Uncle Bobby" Velasco Obituary (Age 85) Robert passed away November 14, 2009. He was born March 9, 1924 in Watsonville, CA. Bob grew up on the family ranch fishing and hunting. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and was stationed in England during World War II. After the war Bob arrived in Spokane where he met Darlyne Ness, they were married for 52 years. They had one son, Kinsey. Bob worked his entire career at Kaiser Aluminum Mead as one of the original start up employees. He retired in 1987 with 40 years service. Bob enjoyed over 20 years of fishing and hunting with friends and family during his retirement. His family was everything to him. We were a small family but very close. He is preceded in death by his wife Darlyne and son Kinsey. Bob is survived by his niece Linda Campbell, her husband Pat and their children Jason and Stephanie, and their spouses and children; niece Shelly Williams, her husband Vernon, and their children Aaron and Courtney and their spouses and children; sister Norma Rose of Phoenix, AZ. Bob was a wonderful man who always had a smile, a greeting, a wave and a good story to tell anyone he met. He will be missed. A Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM Friday November 20, 2009 at Spokane Memorial Gardens. We love you Bobby!
