Roger Wyssman Obituary (Age 58) Went to be with his Father on Monday, January 7, 2013 after a long illness. Roger was born on July 26, 1954 in Nebraska to Eldo and Berniece Wyssman. He moved to Spokane in 1978 and worked as a pharmacist at Deaconess for 32 years. Roger was passionate about politics and was always eager to engage in political discussion. He was a lifelong fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, even going so far as to shave an N in his hair one year to show his pride. Roger also discovered a love for sailing later in life, and could be found on Windy Bay most summer days. He was a loving father and a doting grandfather. Roger leaves behind his significant other Ann Van Leuven; his daughter August Wyssman; granddaughter Reilly Wyssman; stepson Erik Atwood and family; sisters Gloria (Bill) Schlachter and Judy Wyssman; brother Duane (Paula) Wyssman; nieces Julie, Jill, Janeece, Jenny and nephew Brian. Memorial contributions may be made to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank, 1234 E. Front Ave, Spokane WA 99202. The family would like to thank Dr. Kaya and the staff at Cancer Care Northwest.
