Ronald H. Bishop Obituary (Age 67) In loving memory of Ron Bishop, who passed away May 24, 2016 after battling a long illness. Ron was born March 19,1949 in Bellingham to his parents, Harold and Kathryn Bishop. He was the middle child of five children. He graduated from Nooksack Valley H.S. in 1967. Ron wooed the heart of Bonnie Bucholtz of Tunk Valley and they were married June 28, 1969 in Omak. They moved to Everson shortly after. He worked as a rural letter carrier with the USPS until his retirement in 2012. He was also active in the community serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for 30+ years. Ron loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His passion was the white tail deer hunt, taking in trophies that the best of hunters would be envious. Ron was a great man. He was a kind, loving and generous soul, who could be the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor. He was a man of subtle, yet great faith and a love for Jesus. In his last months and days he drew on that faith in prayer and for strength. Most of all Ron loved his family. He treasured his wife of 47 years. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife Bonnie, son Kurt (Cora) Bishop, daughter Katy Bishop and four grandchildren, Nicole, McKenzie, Camryn, and Isaac. He is further survived by his four siblings; sisters Noelle (Ralph) Lampers, LaVoun (Duane) Shelly, brothers Tom (Linda) Bishop and Mike Bishop, sisters-in-law Billy-Jo (Chuck) Stadler, Suzann (Darrell) Miller, brother-in-law Lloyd (Barb) Bucholtz, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
