Ronald H. Mayfield Obituary (Age 68) Beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle was born April 4, 1944 in Colfax, WA; he died December 11, 2012 in Spokane, WA. Ron will be forever missed. He is survived by his wife Linda Edwardson, sisters Sandie Kruse (Roger) and Carol Albright (Bob), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Leona (Becker) Mayfield. Ron enjoyed life and being with friends and family. He spent time in the outdoors, especially enjoying hunting, fishing, golf and sky diving. He felt privileged being raised in a military family and having the opportunity to live in a variety of cities and countries. Ron had several careers. He was a gentlemen farmer and enjoyed the summers he worked at his Uncle Jim's ranch in Colton, WA. Following graduation from Cheney High School, Ron attended the aircraft power plant course at Spokane Community College; he worked as an airframe and maintenance as well as a big rig mechanic. Next he was elected as the Business Representative for the Machinists Union. He then studied to be an investment broker and worked in the securities business until his retirement. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 17 at 11:00 am, St. Anthony Parish, 2320 N Cedar, Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Ron's name to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or any organization of your choice.
