Ronald J. Peters Obituary Our beloved Papa took his place in Heaven on Sept. 8, 2012, at Sacred Heart Medical Center. He passed away with his amazing wife, Kathleen A Peters, by his bedside. He was 68 years old. Ron was born on April 30, 1944 in Long Beach, California, the son of Jane Peters (Hodgins), and lived most of his life in Southern California. Always devoted to his wife and wherever life would take them, Ron and his wife found adventure in Yucca Valley, California, Concord, California, Muleshoe, Texas, and Denver, Colorado. In 1998, they settled in Spokane to find personal peace and a place for retirement. Ron was larger than life itself. He was always making others smile, especially children. He loved making kids laugh by making faces and funny noises. Ron could have an intimidating presence, but he was a loving, honest, tender man. When he smiled, everyone smiled with him. Everyone that knew Ron knew that he had a gentle heart. Ron was truly a jack of all trades�some of his many jobs included: working in a liquor store, a drug store assistant manager, a chef, a welder, a construction worker, a landscaper, a security guard, a tile setter, and a licensed cosmetologist. He spent his working years in Spokane at Walmart. In retirement, he enjoyed nothing more than riding the tractor and mowing the fields. He was preceded in death by his Mother Jane Peters and his Brother Mike Peters. He leaves behind a family that will miss him dearly but look forward to a joyful, heavenly reunion: his Wife of 36 years, Kathleen A. Peters; Daughters, Heather Capeller, Jouise Black and Jaynel Casey; nine grandkids, and two great-grandkids. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept my faith.
