Rosalie Meltzer Obituary (Age 85) Passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Spokane, WA. She was born May 16, 1928 to Samuel and Florence Atlas in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to Minneapolis at age 12. She graduated from North High and attended the University of Minnesota. Her school friend Ellie introduced Rosalie to her big brother Sidney, and their adventure began. In 64 years of marriage, they raised their children in Seattle and Bellevue, with many happy family memories at Glendale Country club, especially, and enjoyed travel, art collecting, wintering in Palm Springs, special time with their grandchildren, and finally 20 sun and fun-filled years in Sun City West, Arizona. They were long time members of Herzl Ner Tamid Congregation in Seattle/Mercer Island and most recently, Temple Beth Shalom in Sun City West, Arizona. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Suzanne and brother Myles, she is survived by children Howie (Lori), David (Mini), and Russ Meltzer, and Suzanne (Alan) Rubens and grandchildren Sam (Rachel), Rachel and Molly Rubens, and Graham Meltzer, loving relatives and cherished friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hadassah, Hospice of Spokane, or a charity of your choice.
