Rosalie “Rosa” I. Graves, born on January 21, 1946, in Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2025, under the loving care of her son, Sean Haskell, and Horizon Hospice.
Rosa was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Kenneth and Juanita Cripe; her cherished son, Tommy Haskell; and many dear family members and friends.
She is survived by her son, Sean Haskell; granddaughter, Erin Haskell; grandsons, Elijah, Xavier, and Quincy Nila; her siblings, brothers and sister in laws; Gene and Marilyn Cripe, and Lloyd and Sandra Cripe; as well as her daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Dario Nila. Rosa also leaves behind estranged loved ones, Mary Parkins, Melissa Parkins, and Maranda Sanders.

Her bonus family, Suzie, Isaiah, JeDon, Elijah and Isaac, will forever cherish her and the special memories made together, along with the special men in her life: Ted, Johnny, Ray, and Bill.
Rosa was a devoted daughter, a beloved sister, and a beautifully diverse mother. She was a loving and dedicated grandmother and a lifelong friend to Judy, Loretta, Nelda, and many others.
Throughout her life, Rosa’s education was always important to her. She attended Upper Columbia Academy and Pendleton public schools during her youth, later graduating from Walla Walla Community College with a degree in Psychology. Rosa's early career in Hospitality Food Service Management was followed by a return to school, while raising her two children where she earned her MA/CNA. She used these skills to care for people in their greatest time of need, working with dedication as an employee of Horizon Hospice in Spokane.

Rosa’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends laughing and creating memories. She had a deep love for tending to her numerous rose bushes and beautiful flower beds. A true lover of simple pleasures, Rosa enjoyed coffee, cigarettes, and was known for her vast knowledge of history, politics, and world events. Which she freely shared to willing listeners (and sometimes the not-so-willing 😊).
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched through her work and love.
A private family service will be held in June to honor her life and legacy. For information, please contact Sean Haskell at seanhaskell84@gmail.com or Suzie Mize at suziemize@gmail.com .
