Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother has gone to be with her heavenly father and her loved ones who have gone before her. She passed peacefully July 1, 2013 at home and will be dearly missed by all she leaves behind. Teen was born October 19, 1921 to Howard and Verna Russell in Spokane, WA and was one of eight children. She married Robert "Bob" Mielke, the love of her life, and together they raised their three children in Spokane. She is survived by her son Fred (Karlynn) Mielke of Spokane and their (4) children, (5) great-grandchildren, her son Tom (Carman) Mielke of Battle Ground, WA and their (8) children, (21) great-grandchildren, (10) great-great-grandchildren and her daughter Joy (Dennis) McDougall and their (3) children and (7) grandchildren. Teen also leaves behind her sisters Ruby Moore and Joy Schmitt, her brother Richard "Dick" Russell and her brother-in-law Ed Mielke and many nieces, nephews and friends. Teen was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2008, parents Howard and Verna Russell, brothers Bob, Hiny, Tom Russell and sister Louise Soll. She attended St. Francis grade school and HS at Holy Names. After graduating from Beauty School, she opened the Bungalow Beauty Shop on Monroe St. and was at that location for 40 years. Bob and Teen enjoyed their summers at the cabin at Priest Lake on Bartoo Island with their family/friends. After retiring, they traveled throughout the U.S. and foreign countries. They spent their winters at their home in Mesa, AZ and summers in Spokane. Teen was very active in Audubon Eastern Star and three different PTAs as the kids were in grade school, Jr. High and High School in the same year. She participated in Shadle Park's Parent Play doing the make-up. With her husband Bob involved in the Shriner's, Teen was a member of the Nile Patrol Dance group for many years. Visitation will be Friday, 10-5 and Saturday, 8-12 at Heritage Funeral Home with Funeral Services 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Morning Star Boy's Ranch.
