Roy L. Hutson Jr., born in La Grande Oregon on March 25, 1947 to Roy L. Sr. and Carrie Hutson, left us to be with the lord, his parents, and sister on July 24, 2025.

Roy was a single man. He enjoyed cross country bike riding, square dancing, and being a faithful member of The College Baptist Church in San Diego, Ca. Roy enjoyed witnessing to the San Diego University students about his love for the Lord and giving them gospel tracks.

Regardless of where he met a person, or who you were, Roy would greet you with a handshake and say, “God loves you and so do I.”

Roy lived in San Diego, CA from 1958 to 2024. He then moved in with his sisters in Spokane, WA, Margo L. Hutson, Beverly Wayne, and Beverly’s husband Thomas Wayne, where he received love and care until the end of his life.

Roy will be missed by many loving family members and friends.

Roy and his family are truly grateful for the loving care given by his nurse Jesse, O.T. by Steven and Travis with Center Well, as well as Horizon Hospice and Greenstaff Home Care.

We have been truly blessed by all of you.

Thank you.

Roy's celebration of life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home located at 508 N Government Way on August 8th at 2:00pm. His graveside service will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
