Ruth Elloise "Ellie" Grabisch Gartside Rybarczyk Obituary Ellie died peacefully at Hospice House on June 10, 2015 in Spokane, WA at the age of 83. She had just recently been diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer. Ellie was born June 8, 1932 in Lincoln, NE to Bert J. Grabisch and Mary J Leeke and graduated from Highline High School, Burien, WA in 1951. Ellie resided in the Tri-cities for many years, moving to Spokane in 1997. She worked in hospitality industry and in later years began working as a nanny and elderly care provider. Ellie was preceded in death by parents: Bert Grabisch, Mary Leeke; sister, Francis Louise Grabisch, brother, Ralph Grabisch, as well as husband James Eugene Gartside and husband Clifford John Rybarczyk. Ellie was a creative optimist. She adopted technology and loved digital photography and computers ? creating hand-made cards, collages and albums for friends and loved ones. She was a talented and skilled artist and always had multiple projects going. She thoroughly enjoyed sewing, crochet, hunting, knitting, beading, music and learning new things. Ellie is survived by daughters, Linda J Cox, Kathrine A Maier, Tammy C Naylor; sons, James E Gartside II, Clifford J Rybarczyk II & step-son, Jeffrey T Rybarczyk, as well as 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 17th, 12pm at Heritage Funeral Home.
