Ruth Pickup Obituary (Age 75) Ruth, of Spokane, WA passed away September 14, 2011 in Spokane. She was born July 14, 1936 in Schenectady, NY to Robert and Willa (Smalley) Haight. Ruth moved to Spokane in 1973 from North Carolina. She served in the US Navy 1954-1956. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and crafts and square dancing. Ruth is survived by her husband, Roland, son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Julie Pickup of Coeur d'Alene, daughters; Pam Zwarg and Peggy Wold of Spokane, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by a son, Roland Pickup Jr. in 2007. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 24th, at 11:00 am at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
