Salwa Azar Obituary Salwa Azar was a devoted mother and caregiver, born January 1, 1933, died on March 23, 2014 in Spokane, Washington. Salwa worked as a caregiver, a foster parent, and her passion was caring for others. She was a devoted mother to six children and a devoted wife to her belated husband George Azar. She was also an avid Arabic soap opera follower and a member of the St. Gregorious Syrian Orthodox Church. Salwa is survived by her children, Karim, Roy, Yazeed, Majdolin, Mike and Suhad, and her 18 grandchildren!!! Viewing will be held at Heritage Funeral Home at 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224, on Wednesday 12 pm-2 pm and Thursday 10 am-1 pm followed by the funeral ceremony service at 2:00pm.
