Samuel Fredrick Moeller Obituary (Age 73) Sam was born to William and Chlorene Moeller in Seattle, WA on February 25, 1943. He went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from Ritzville High School in 1961. Late that summer, he enlisted in the US Navy with a desire to serve our country and travel the world. In the Navy, he learned diesel mechanics and had a tour of duty on the Saigon River in a mine sweeper. In 1966, with a GI bill in hand, Sam enrolled at EWSC (now EWU). He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology and Design and graduated in 1969. Sam went on to careers in insurance, sales engineering, account management, and real estate, but his real passion was as a true Gentleman Cowboy. His cowboy adventures included riding his horse through the Blue Mountains from Baker City to Pendleton, OR in a 150 year anniversary re-enactment of the Oregon Trail; President of the Back Country Horsemen of Washington; owner of Wilderness Shots, specializing in wilderness photography; and co-owner of Blue Mountain Outfitters, an outfitting and guide company in the Wenaha Wilderness of the Blue Mountains. Sam was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Irene. He is survived by his wife, Vickie, whom he met guiding her group into the Wenaha Wilderness; two sons Erik Moeller (Tania) and Brad Moeller (Jenny), and their mother, Julie Barringer, all of Spokane; a step-daughter Sara Daniels; a step-son Travis Daniels; six grandchildren Logan Moeller, Katerina Moeller, Cerissa Moeller, Regan Moeller, and Cassandra Moeller all of Spokane and Quinn Daniels of Coeur dAlene; two brothers Walter Moeller (Linda) of Walnut Creek, CA and Bruce Moeller (Connie) of Spokane; his mother-in-law Dorothy Krewson of Spokane; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 2pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel.
