Sandra Myriam Lookabill Obituary Sandra Myriam Lookabill, on December 10, surrounded by family at home, stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was then that she heard the words "well done my good and faithful servant." She was born on the 4th of July in Cordoba, Argentina to Jorge and Myriam Powell and moved to Los Angeles California at the age of 11 with her Mom, Dad and 8 other siblings. When they were in Argentina her parents founded an orphanage that is still active today. At any given time she had at least 30 other kids to play with as the family also lived at the orphanage. She attended Francis Polytechnic High School and L.A. Valley College in Los Angeles. Shortly after that she met her husband, Thomas Alan Lookabill in a theatre production. They were married June 6th, 1987 at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California just 8 months after meeting. She became a mother to Thomas Anthony Lookabill, Tiffany Marie Casedy, Breanna Michelle Regalado and Skyler Alan Lookabill. While in California, Sandra was an Information Technology professional excluding a few years of home schooling her kids and working as a Teacher, Coach and Athletic Director for Pleasant Valley Christian School, a small Christian school in Camarillo, California. Many of the programs and sports that she started are still going on there today. She moved to Spokane in the summer of 2007. Her children attended Mead High School and her favorite things to do were attending church, camping, music (she played the flute) and watching her children's athletic events. Her daughters both played college softball and her youngest son, Skyler, is currently playing baseball for Whitworth University. To honor her battle against cancer three years ago the Spokane Falls softball team dedicated their season to her and the Whitworth Baseball team has dedicated the 2015 season to her and her initials will be displayed on the players hats. Almost 4 years ago Sandra was given 3 months to live and battled her cancer with courage and grace. She lived long enough to meet the goals of attending both daughter's weddings last summer and just weeks ago was able to hold her first grandchild. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed by all who knew her. She was known for giving great hugs. Come and celebrate her life with us.
