In 1977 he graduated from West Valley High School in Spokane, WA. Scott was a Varsity athlete on both the football and baseball teams. He was a wide receiver on the 1976 State Championship team. He made many lifelong friends during this time, and they stayed close throughout his life. After graduation he worked for the family business; Cascade Airways. For the rest of his career he worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center. He started in housekeeping working his way up to the Cath Lab and became a tech in Interventional Radiology. Scott met Cathy while working at the airport. They had 2 daughters, Jamie and Cristina. He taught them how to swim, bowl, golf, and play catch. He and the girls liked to shoot hoops in the driveway. He also helped them learn about constellations and science, including getting an egg to balance upright during the spring equinox. In his younger days Scott liked adventure. He enjoyed skydiving, skiing, and water skiing. He loved flying planes and being in the air. He always pointed out the types of planes flying overhead. He took his daughters near the airport to watch planes takeoff and land. He loved to play golf with his friends every week. He made sure Cristina and Jamie had a love of the game too. His claim to fame was that he got a hole in 1. Scott also loved bowling, from playing in a league to teaching his kids and just bowling for fun with friends. He was most known for being the biggest Cheesehead. He was a diehard Greenbay Packers fan from the age of 3. He passed his love of the Packers on to his daughter Cristina. His daughters took him to a game to made sure he was able to see Brett Favre and the Packers play in person. The family would go camping at Priest Lake every year and Scott loved to snorkel, lay on the beach and take the boat to the island. There were almost as many dogs as there were people piled into the boat. One of his favorite things was to take his dog Maggie to run and play at Joe Albi. His children would like to thank ALL of the staff at Cancer Care Northwest for working so hard to help Dad. Thank you Dr. Thuma and Dr. Thatcher for all of your support.
