Sheila Dawn Hales Obituary
The lord decided it was time to call Sheila to Heaven after a courageous 8 month battle with leukemia. Sheila was born May 11, 1953 and passed September 12, 2017 under the loving care of Hospice House of North Idaho. She was born at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane to Al and Carol Hales. She is survived by her daughter Kalindi Hales, brother Greg Hales, and father Alfred Hales. She was preceded in death by her mother Carol in 1968. Sheila graduated from Rogers High School in 1971 and worked as a nurse from 1973 to 2017 when she was diagnosed and no longer able to work. Sheila spent her last several years of nursing at North Central Care Center caring for the elderly and especially loved working with dementia patients. So many of them were blessed to spend their last years under Sheilas loving care. In her personal life Sheila was known for her laid back sense of humor, contagious smile, and her love of flowers and animals. Her dream was to live in a place where she could have some farm animals along with her pets. Sheilas kind, loving spirit won her many wonderful friends over the years and the outpouring of love and support during her battle and following her passing has shown her positive impact on so many. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Please wear bright colors as this is a celebration of Sheilas life and in honor of her love of flowers. She asks that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to the church or animal shelter of your choice.
