July 29, 1935 - October 25, 2015

Shirley Ann Lunz Obituary Shirley was born and raised in Baltimore where she met Karl, her husband of 62 years. Service in the U.S. Air Force sent them to bases across the nation. While at Fairchild AFB, they decided to make Spokane a permanent home. Shirley attended the St. Michael?s Business School in Baltimore and held prominent positions at the Maryland Tobacco Co, YWCA and several other companies. Very clever and savvy, she made a fantastic skip-tracer, one of her favorite positions. Shirley loved dogs, crafts, baseball, laughing, and helping others, and she was a dedicated supporter of St. Jude?s Children?s Hospital. She had an inspiring faith in God. Despite suffering 40 years of extreme pain, Shirley was a very strong woman. As a wife, mother and friend, Shirley was and always will be a person of loyalty, honor and perseverance. Forever dedicated to her children, she shared the gift of her beautiful heart with everyone she touched. For all those who knew her, Shirley leaves an amazing gift. That gift is her. Survived by her husband, three sons and nephew, a private service will be held at Washington State Veterans Cemetery.
