Shirley Jean Coats Obituary Shirley Jean Coats passed away on Monday, May 14th, 2012 at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. She was born on August 12, 1944 in Hollywood, California to parents William T. Mount, Jr. and Fern Melissa Johnson Mount. Shirley Jean Coats relocated from Southern California to Washington in 1996 after retiring from her 30-year career with Scope Industries, Inc. and losing her husband to cancer in the previous year. She was artistic and creative, had a heart for animals, and loved the outdoors. She was a sensitive, gentle soul who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her siblings, Mrs. Elaine Grow of Burbank, California; William T Mount, III of Camarillo, California; Mrs. Lynelle Hill of Deer Park, Washington; and their respective families which represent over 40 nieces and nephews, their spouses, and children. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Claude James Coats, and both her parents, Fern M. and William T. Mount, Jr., all of whom she has anxiously anticipated reuniting with through eternal faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Services for Mrs. Coats will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, in Spokane, Washington.
